The UW-Eau Claire International Justice Mission student organization will
lead an event titled "Stand 4 Freedom" April 9 in Davies Center. The purpose of the event is to call attention to the problem of human trafficking and give students, faculty, staff
and community members the opportunity to help make an impact on Wisconsin legislation
and address an issue that affects 29.8 million people worldwide — including individuals in Eau Claire. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to send letters to legislators
concerning the current bills as well as take their pictures with signs reading
"I stand for freedom." In
addition, local representatives will attend the event and informational
materials will be available. For more information, contact Lydia Lochner at email@example.com.
