The UW-Eau Claire Wind Symphony, directed by Dr. John Stewart, will perform its spring concert at 2 p.m. April 27 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The concert will feature Dr. Jerry Young, professor emeritus of music, on tuba, performing the premiere of "Three Visions of El Greco" by former UW-Eau Claire faculty member Ethan Wickman as well as the world premiere of "Jie Ching" by current faculty member Chia-Yu Hsu.   

Wind Symphony is composed of the finest woodwind, brass, and percussion students at UW-Eau Claire. The ensemble is dedicated to performing outstanding and challenging works of diverse musical styles while furthering wind music of artistic and historical significance. 

Tickets, available at the Service Center, are $6 for the public, $4 for those 62 and older, 17 and younger and UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff; and $1.50 for UW-Eau Claire students.
