UW-Eau Claire's student chapter of the American Marketing Association will host the Keep on Chuckin' AMA 5K beginning at 9:30 a.m. May 3 in front of Schneider Hall on UW-Eau Claire's lower campus. Race-day registration begins at 8 a.m. on the first-floor of Davies Center.
The event is being held in memory of Dr. Chuck Tomkovick, an outstanding professor at UW-Eau Claire for 21 years who lost a courageous battle with cancer in July 2013.
To register, visit the AMA website. Advance registration fees are $20 for adults, $17 for students and $5 for children. Race-day registration is $25. Participants will receive a T-shirt, post-race snacks, raffle prizes and post-race refreshments at Pizza Plus in downtown Eau Claire.
All proceeds will be donated to the Chuck Tomkovick Management and Marketing Teaching Excellence Award fund. This fund recognizes exceptional teaching in the department of management and marketing and honors Tomkovick's legacy. If you prefer to support the fund and not participate in the race, donations can be made directly to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
