Dr. Gail Robertson, euphonium, and Dr. Barbara Young, piano, will perform a guest artist/faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. March 30 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center at UW-Eau Claire as a part of the music and theatre arts department's "A Year of Inclusivity" project. Robertson has held leadership positions with the International Tuba and Euphonium Press Committee, Leonard Falcone Tuba and Euphonium Festival, International Women's Brass Conference and International Tuba and Euphonium Association, among others. She also has recorded CDs of her work, served on the faculty of many music departments and performed throughout the world with renowned musical groups. The recital will consist of works for euphonium and piano performed with Dr. Barbara Young and a selection of traditional and new jazz works with help from a rhythm section composed of UW-Eau Claire students. The recital and all of Robertson's workshops are free and open to UW-Eau Claire students, faculty, staff and the public.
