The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Wind Symphony will perform at 2 p.m. April 28 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The group, conducted by Brian Diller, assistant lecturer of music, will open the concert with "Canzon XVI" by Giovanni Gabrieli. Gabrieli divides the piece for three distinct choirs, each with unique melodic material. Aaron Copland's Clarinet Concerto will feature senior Eric Schultz, Green Bay, on clarinet.The final piece of the evening will be "Lost Vegas" by Michael Daugherty, a musical homage to the composer's earlier days in the city of Las Vegas. Tickets, available online and at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $6 for the general public; $4 for those 62 and older, 17 and younger, and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.50 for students with a university ID.
