The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department's Opera Workshop Ensemble presents "Scenes from French Opera" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

Several pieces will be featured in this program, including "Carmen" (1875) by Georges Bizet and "Faust" (1859) by Charles Gounod. The performance is directed by Dr. Mitra Sadeghpour, associate professor of music and coordinator of the voice division. Music direction is by Dr. Mark Mowry, assistant professor of voice, with accompaniment by sophomore Miles Plant, Brookfield.
