Mark Bernat

Bernat will perform at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The 2 p.m. recital will feature J.S. Bach's "Six Suites for Cello," transcribed and arranged for double bass by Bernat.

A native of Poland, Bernat has appeared in major concert halls throughout the United States, Europe, Israel and China. He trained at the High School of Performing Arts and the Juilliard School in New York City. Bernat has served on the teaching faculties of the Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Texas and has given master classes at major universities around the nation.
