The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present a concert by the Symphony Band, Wind Symphony and high school Honor Band at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
The Honor Band is composed of more than 100 students from Wisconsin and Minnesota high schools. Interested students apply, and members are chosen by UW-Eau Claire faculty. Students participate in rehearsals, master classes and a wind clinic prior to the evening concert.
Bassoonist Dr. Jacqueline Wilson, lecturer of music, is this year's guest artist and clinician. She will perform with the Wind Symphony and Honor Band. More information is available online.
